Ramon Vaquero was born in Vigo, Spain, where he studied electroninc engineering but jumped into photography by the mid 90´s,

His own Vigo-based studio is dedicated to: ad, industrial, beauty- and portrait photography; also he shows his personal works through exhibitions, international contests, several magazines and books.

 

Some of his awards and publications are:

PSA Silver medal, Algarve 2009, Trierenberg Super Circuit, gold medals in 2003, 2005, 2008 ,2010 and Photomagazine cover, Spain 1998 and 2006.

He has tought photography, lighting, digital images courses, held lectures and workshops and he takes part in salons in several countries like - Spain, Brazil, Austria, Qatar, Portugal ...

He has been a jury member in competitions in Spain since 1998.

Ramon was one of my fellow jury members in Al-Thani Award last fall.
